the things they carried-6

In this part of the book I read from page 37 to 47. In this part of the book he talks about after he got out of college and he was drafted into the war in the summer of  1968. He talked about he how thought so hard about his draft card and he could burn it and just go to Canada which was only a boat ride away. He always talks about how before he went into Vietnam everything is his life was closing up onto him like he was being squeezed in. He was so sad that he was going to fight a war that he was totally against and didnt want to have anything to do with. He had a sick feeling in his stomach and nervous mad and upset he was all together. So thats what he talks about in this part.

  1. Do you agree or disagree with this character? What do you know about conscientious objectors?
